Where does Norwood build?
We build in Madison and its surrounding communities. While we offer a variety of homesite options, we also assist you in finding your ideal homesite or will build on one you've already purchased.
What does Norwood build?
While we have a variety of floor plans to choose from, we are a custom builder. That means we can take an idea that you have imagined and help it become a reality or we can take a house plan you've seen and make it fit your exact needs. We can work from plans we design, plans that have been designed by your architect or plans you've completed yourself.
Norwood is currently building single family homes as well as condominiums. While it varies from year to year, Norwood typically builds between 30 and 40 homes. View a full list of features available with your Norwood Custom Home.
What about additions or remodeling?
Many of our clients request that we finish their lower levels after they've lived in their homes for a while. Others ask for sunrooms or porches to be added. We are happy to provide a quote and work on homes we've previously constructed.
What is included in all your homes and what is your cost per square foot?
This is a complicated question due to Norwood being a custom builder. When we are pricing a home for a potential client, we attempt to find out what they "have to have" in their home and what is on their "wish list." That way we can determine a base price for that specific home as well as options to choose from. Sometimes a client chooses all the options while other times they choose the base inclusions with a few additional options. All of these choices affect the cost per square foot.
How long does it take Norwood to complete a home?
At the beginning of construction, Norwood looks at the size and complexity of a home and creates a construction schedule with a proposed closing date. The client is kept informed throughout the process of any deviation from that date. Weather, client delays in selections and client changes during construction are the leading causes of delay.
What will I find in a Norwood Model Home?
You can expect to find attention to detail. Glowing hardwood floors. Custom cabinetry. Functional and creative floor plans. Greenbuilt and EnergyStar Certification. Products with quality names like Kohler, Carrier and Corian. A home where people pull up the stool at the kitchen island and sit to just take in the feel of the house or plop down on the great room couch and remark that the home makes them want to stay.
